Here's My Story!

Gabe Moses is a performing artist originally from Newark, New Jersey. Since the age of three, Gabe has been singing, dancing, and acting. His mother saw a spark of talent in him and enrolled him into performing arts programs. By the age of 10, he was spending summers at the Newark Symphony Hall Performing Arts Academy, beginning to hone his gifts. While discovering a deeper passion for theatre, Gabe also found himself in a singing group with fellow peers from the summer academy.
For five years, Gabe performed with the singing group, the Special Ensemble, traveling the tristate area to share their voices. During his time with them, he was able to perform at venues such as Madison Square Garden and the Prudential Center. After moving to Pennsylvania, Gabe auditioned and was accepted into the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem. He spent four years as a theatre major and continued to grow as a performer. In his junior and senior years, he participated in the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Competition and earned scholarships to DeSales University.
At DeSales University, Gabe has been blessed to take part in the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival as an intern since the summer of his Freshman year. His credits at the festival include Ragtime, Crazy For You, The Adventures of Robin Hood and Maid Marian, and much more!
Now in his senior year, Gabe has recently began work on his own projects. In June of 2020, he started his very own podcast called "Black-tor". In the show, Gabe examines the best of black artists in his quest to becoming one himself. The show has allowed him to reach out to professionals in the industry and interview them about their individual experiences as black artists. Along with his work in highlighting black artists, Gabe also serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism (EDI-AR) working committee. Gabe has also started a live virtual play reading series, in which he has directed and produced a number of play readings, all through Zoom.
As a black artist, Gabe strives to use his platforms to both entertain and educate those around him. As a recent graduate from DeSales University, he now has a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre. Gabe intends on starting an acting career in New York and to continue reaching wider audiences with the work he puts out into the world.
